Your tasks:
In close cooperation with our acoustics development department, you will design, develop and oversee applications and tools for our products, particularly in the field of sound reinforcement. The focus here is on solutions in the areas of simulation, planning and control of loudspeaker systems. The end devices are usually embedded systems that can be managed in a network using PC applications or apps. Network communication is a key component. In terms of technology, you deal with Javascript/Typescript. You will work on the development of an app created with the React framework. The app is packaged using Electron and alike to create an installable executable. You will also work on the back-end of the application which is also packaged in the executable. The back-end makes it possible to connect to the hardware devices and enables storing configurations made by the user.
After successful induction, you will be responsible for individual modules and in particular you will be responsible for continuous product improvement and you can also demonstrate your problem-solving skills in the team.
• Design and development of software tools in the sound reinforcement sector
• Support of product development with the possibility of actively helping to shape software solutions
• Responsibility for the (further) development of simulation / planning / control software for public address systems
Your profile:
• Completed degree in computer science or comparable with professional experience or training as a software developer with professional experience
• Very good written and spoken German and English
• Good understanding of Javascript in a NodeJS and Web environment, knowledge of Typescript
• Good understanding of React, i.e. Component composition and hooks
• Good understanding of Express, middleware, REST API, (familiar with OpenAPI 3.0 spec)
• Experience with Visual Studio Code
• Knowledge of design patterns and good software architecture
• Experience in the development of apps for iOS or Android brings you further plus points
