From 6 to 8 October 2026, Harmonic Design will be exhibiting at LEaT con 26 at Hamburg Messe und Congress — Hall A1, Booth A1-L11. The focus is on our latest development, the hd BS10 BatterySpeakerSystem, complemented by the hd HLS Series and the hd QT-ETH system amplifiers.

Highlight: the hd BS10 BatterySpeakerSystem

A complete PA in one box: loudspeaker, system amplifier and digital mixer in a single cabinet, running off the grid on standard 18 V power-tool batteries. Two freely configurable amplifier channels drive additional tops or subwoofers.

  • More than 24 hours off the grid on two 18 V batteries — hot-swappable during operation
  • 2 × 250 W for external tops and subwoofers
  • Digital mixer with eight inputs, control and audio streaming over Wi-Fi
  • 96 kHz / 32 bit FIR DSP, 126 dB SPLmax

hd HLS Series — more coverage from less equipment

HybridLineSource technology answers an economic question with acoustics: why fly six line-array elements when a single hd HLS will do? The LineSource high-frequency unit generates a cylindrical wavefront with the throw of a line array, while the coaxial layout radiates 100° horizontally free of interference. Double hangs become unnecessary.

  • Less transport effort: a far smaller pack size — fewer cases, less truck space, fewer runs
  • Better sound from fewer sources: fewer interferences and comb-filter effects; the LineSource unit with multiple compression drivers keeps distortion to a minimum
  • Faster setup: FastRig rigging with splay angles in 3° steps from 0° to 18°; the hd HLS-RF3 is flybar and stand tilt adapter in one
  • Plug & play: the hd TourSys packages arrive as matched complete systems of tops, subwoofer and system amplifier — connect, load the preset, done
  • Scalable with a single loudspeaker type: one top per side covers up to 1,200 people, two tops per side already 2,500 — and so on, up to audiences of 15,000. No second system type for the next size up: one loudspeaker in the warehouse, the same rigging, the same tonal signature at every step

How little equipment that takes, we demonstrate on ourselves in Hamburg: our booth runs a single stack of one hd HLS top and one subwoofer. The bottom line is less equipment, shorter load-in and load-out, smaller crews — more jobs from the same investment, and a noticeably faster return on it.

hd QT-ETH — native 192 kHz and a power supply that holds up

The hd QT-ETH series is the flagship of our system amplifiers, and it differs from most of this class in two respects: an industry-leading native 192 kHz with 32 bit conversion — four times the rate of a typical 48 kHz system — and a power supply built for continuous output rather than for the peak figure on the spec sheet.

  • Better signal-to-noise ratio: 192 kHz and 32 bit conversion noticeably widen the usable dynamic range — less noise floor, a cleaner signal, even at high system gain and in quiet passages
  • More neutral tonality: filters behave much closer to their theoretical response and rounding errors get smaller. The chain passes on what goes in instead of colouring it
  • Very low latency: 786.5 µs on the analogue inputs
  • Countless filter options: FIR filtering on all inputs and outputs, a freely definable 24-band equaliser with parametric, notch, hi/lo-shelf, asymmetric and hi/lo-pass filters, plus a 32-band group EQ on each of the four channels and delays of up to one second

The power supply is optimised for continuous output — not for the burst. What an amplifier really delivers in the low end is decided by energy: power × hold time. A supply that sags after the first kick turns a precise transient into a soft one. The switch-mode supplies of the QT-ETH series are therefore designed for sustained maximum output and are dimensioned considerably larger than is usual in this power class — at 4 × 3,000 W (hd QT12-ETH) and 4 × 2,000 W (hd QT8-ETH).

Signal feed is via Dante/AES67, AES3 or four analogue inputs. All of it is driven from hd LevelZ 2, our remote control and simulation software for Windows and macOS: every parameter editable in real time, network-based access, management of multiple devices and groups. We will demonstrate it live at the booth.
